The first claimant, KDY, is a 13-year-old boy with autism, ADHD and other diagnosed conditions who has held an Education, Health and Care Plan since November 2018. He sues by his mother, NGP, who is the second claimant in her own right and describes herself as a disabled parent-carer. Between 2018 and 2025 KDY attended St Luke's, Woolmore, Langdon Park and St Paul's Way Trust schools, was permanently excluded from Langdon Park in December 2024 and from St Paul's in September 2025, attended the Spotlight Centre run by Poplar HARCA, and was allegedly denied access to the East Summer School run by the London Legacy Development Corporation. A claim form issued on 18 September 2025 named nine defendants, later said to be eleven, including head teachers and a head of SEND sued personally, school governing bodies and a trust, the local authority, an NHS trust, a housing association and a statutory corporation. It alleged negligence and personal injury, discrimination, harassment and victimisation under the Equality Act 2010, defamation and breaches of Convention rights, and put the value in excess of £2.8 million. Particulars of Claim running to some 300 pages and 1,009 paragraphs followed. Four defendant groups applied to strike out or for summary judgment.
