Facts

The applicant, Fabian Ray, complained to the Information Commissioner on 27 March 2026 about Hedin Automotive London Limited, alleging among other things that it had failed to respond properly to a subject access request. The complaint was handled under reference IC-498589-K0K2. On 15 April 2026 the Commissioner's case officer concluded that Hedin had demonstrated compliance with data protection legislation and had dealt properly with the applicant's individual rights request, having supplied additional information it was not required to give because it was not his personal data; the case officer wrote to Hedin in similar terms the same day. The applicant requested a case review that day, and on 21 May 2026 the reviewing officer confirmed that the complaint had been handled in line with the Commissioner's case handling procedures, declined to consider it further, and advised the applicant of his right to bring his own court action against the data controller and to complain to the Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman. The applicant applied to the Tribunal by form GRC1 dated 17 June 2026 with a 566-page supporting document; Registrar Bamawo directed that he identify the relevant pages, and a revised form GRC1 was submitted on 25 June 2026. The Tribunal admitted the application under section 166 of the Data Protection Act 2018 on 2 July 2026. The Commissioner applied to strike it out.
